Drumcree Designs clients include local businesses, interior designers and celebrities who commission one-of-a-kind, handcrafted furniture pieces. Drumcree Designs centers around Keefe’s passion for design and custom fabrication, and his craftsmanship skills range from welding to fine woodworking. Much to the chagrin of his neighbors, the business started out in the front lawn of his apartment complex, but Keefe quickly moved his operation into a workshop in downtown Los Angeles. Out of this passion, Keefe’s company Drumcree Designs was born. Keefe began to develop his expertise further after he left the Midwest to pursue a career in film and television in Los Angeles, where carpentry and craftsmanship became his “means of survival.” Having worked on television series like "Lost," “Sons of Anarchy" and "NCIS," Keefe also worked with a local contractor specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodels, where he found himself inspired by the design process the layout of the room and the finishing touches.

Keefe comes from humble beginnings in the Midwest as a teenager he assisted a local contractor, where he learned the basics of building – which usually involved sweeping up after the tradesman had gone home.

Keefe is thrilled to be able to showcase his artistry to a national audience, and feels extremely gratified that he can use his craftsmanship to help change the lives of the most deserving families.īorn in Northern Ireland to a long line of Irish craftsmen and farmers, Keefe first developed his love for woodworking after building a Pinewood Derby Racer with his father.

Together with host Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the designers will help build incredible new homes for deserving families. Keefe is one of three in the ultra-talented team of new designers. Darren Keefe is one of the faces of HGTV’s relaunch of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," premiering in 2020.
